The Password Is Jesus Christ
I had a conversation that didn’t feel random—it felt assigned.
One of the contractors started talking to me about God. He mentioned he goes to a Catholic church and believes there’s a difference between the “Catholic Bible” and the “Christian Bible.” I let him talk. I didn’t interrupt. He began sharing stories—especially one about a dream where his father, who had passed away, appeared to him.
In the dream, his dad looked healthy and peaceful. According to him, his father spoke clearly and said he was in a good place—heaven, it sounded like. The contractor felt this was confirmation that being a good person was what really mattered. He said his dad didn’t mention Jesus—just being good.
Now here’s what stirred my spirit:
The dream sounded spiritual, but it pointed away from Christ. And dreams like that—ones that comfort us without leading us to Jesus—are often not from God. Scripture says we die once and face judgment. The dead don’t come back to guide the living. If they do appear, it’s more likely a familiar spirit, not a heavenly visitation.
When I finally spoke, I didn’t debate. I didn’t attack. I just said:
“The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. The gate is always open—but the password is Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.”
He paused. Thought about it. Then nodded slowly.
I don’t know what that seed will grow into.
But I know this: even when deception tries to wear a comforting face—even in dreams—the truth remains unshaken:
Jesus is the way.
Jesus is the gate.
Jesus is the password.
